December 2018 meeting
Our last meeting of the year was our ‘Members short talks’ and bring and share Christmas social. This brought forth some excellent images from members Terry Evans, Martin Pryce, Ken Honour and Bob Mizon. We had an excellent short talk on the subject of Jocelyn Bell Burnell by Jim Lefeuvre and Ron and Bob Mizon also presented short talks.
There was plenty to eat and drink and members had the opportunity to win four prizes in a free draw.
Ron retired as Chairman and was replaced by Terry Evans. It was a most enjoyable evening and a great way to end a most successful year.
Our speaker for January is Barry Fitzgerald who’s talk is “Lunar geology from the safety of your own home’. And if that doesn’t pique your interest I don’t know what will. Can’t wait!
